Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Urban Outfitters.
Sales Associate
It was a group interview with two other candidates. We first went onto the sales floor and had to pick out items that fit a certain criteria. After that, we were asked questions in a round-robin format as a group.
- Can you introduce yourself
- What do you like to do when you're not working
- What does good customer service look like to you
Sales Associate
It was pretty easy, having more availability is better. They aren’t super strict and it was more of a get to know each other process. Cool vibe and respectful. The more hours and flexibility you have, the better chance you have, but Black Friday and some holidays are required.
- Tell me about your availability and flexibility.
- What's your experience with registers?
- Are you able to work on Black Friday and holidays?
Sales Associate
We did a group interview with 5 other people. It started with everyone taking turns to answer questions individually, and then there were some questions that people could volunteer to answer. For a group activity, we had to draw what we thought the ideal worker looked like. As we went on, the questions became more personal.
- If you were a biscuit, what kind would you be?
