& Process

It was a pretty standard retail interview, but there were multiple people involved. They were flexible about my start date. The interviewers were nice and seemed pretty laid-back. It felt like a typical corporate retail environment, even though it had some alternative vibes.

I put in my application online and about three days later I got an online survey. The hiring manager called me the next day for a group interview happening two days after that. I got called back and they gave me an offer the very next day. It was an open interview style, with about 10 of us, split into pairs. Each pair sat with 2-3 associates and managers. One group discussed what inspires us, then we picked an outfit and presented it. The other group was more about talking about ourselves in detail to really impress the hiring manager, and then we switched groups. It was a really comfortable interview, it felt more like a conversation so there was plenty of space to speak up and stand out. I looked at Glassdoor a few times before my interview, but I felt like I needed to add more details to make it more helpful for preparation! Overall it was an awesome experience, everyone was so positive.

I applied online and after a couple of months they emailed me. I had already accepted another position but they kept emailing so I decided to go ahead and schedule an interview. It was one of the most laid-back interviews I've ever had. The interviewer primarily asked me about my preferred trends, the bloggers I follow, and my familiarity with Urban Brands. It was supposed to be a group interview, but due to an incorrect time provided in the email, I arrived an hour early and ended up having a one-on-one interview. She also explained the job duties. I think I received the job offer about a week later. However, I had already booked a flight home for Thanksgiving, assuming I wouldn't get the job, and they needed me to work on Black Friday, so I had to decline the offer.
