I went through the on-campus placement process. It started with an online written test that had aptitude, logical reasoning, and basic core electrical engineering questions covering machines, power systems, and electronics. The test was of medium difficulty. After the results, I was shortlisted for the interview. The final interview was a combined Technical and HR interview with a two-person panel. One person asked technical questions about electrical engineering fundamentals like transformers, induction motors, power system protection, and practical aspects of drives, relays, and fault analysis. They also asked about my internship and my project on renewable–conventional grid coordination, plus some problem-solving questions. The other interviewer asked behavioral and personality questions: introduce yourself, why this company, strengths/weaknesses, teamwork/leadership examples, relocation, career goals, and attitude. The interviewers were friendly, and it felt like a conversation. The atmosphere was relaxed, and they gave me time to think. The whole process was smooth and organized, and I got selected after the interview results.

So, the interview had three rounds. First was a quantitative aptitude test, covering reasoning and analysis. Then, there was a panel/group discussion. The final round was a technical interview combined with a personal interview.

There were a total of 4 interviewers. Three of them focused on technical questions related to Chemical Engineering, asking about topics like distillation columns, heat exchangers (including types and convenient options), and centrifugal pumps. One interviewer handled HR questions and asked some tricky ones. Overall, it was a great experience.
