I had a phone chat with a recruiter, and then the next day, I had a video interview with two people. After that, I received no feedback, and the recruiter didn't respond to my emails. The recruiting team was very unprofessional; this is my second time dealing with Unum recruiters, and both experiences were negative. The first time, I had a phone interview with a recruiter, and she never gave me any feedback and ignored my emails. It's no surprise Unum has so many open positions.

I got sent a Word doc first with some basic questions about my experience for the job. I sent it back pretty quickly, within an hour. The next day, they emailed me about a phone interview. So a week after that, they called me in the afternoon. They asked me about my resume, my experience in general, and my Finance experience up to that point. I mentioned I was still in school, and it became obvious they needed someone with at least a year of database programming experience. They asked me about SQL, VBA Macro Building, and any other technical skills I might have from my current job or if I had experience with any ERP Software. I didn't have any of that, and after about 20 minutes of an interview I wasn't prepared for at all, they said they'd let me know in a week. The following week, they called to say they went with other candidates. That's that.

It was a 45 minute teams call with three directors from the reinsurance team. They went over the role and how it connects to them. Collaboration is key on this team, so they wanted to hear about my thought process and how I get things done.
