The interview was pretty standard, and honestly, I didn't find it super helpful. They were after someone with specific experience in steel microstructure and simulations, which wasn't a perfect match for my background. Because of this, I got the impression it might not be the ideal role for my abilities and history.

It was a quick but really thorough interview process. They were super helpful and even sent me a map of the university. The whole thing started on time and went smoothly. I began with a presentation, then had an interview with a professor and a panel, and finished with a third and final interview.

After applying online, I was contacted by a professor from the group. They were interested and invited me for an interview. The process spanned two days, though it can be done in one. On the first day, I met potential future colleagues (PhD students, postdocs) who showed me around the lab. The next day, I gave a seminar on my Master's thesis topic, followed by a discussion with several professors about the project I'd be working on if I were to get the position.
