If you meet the minimum entry requirements and are successful in your application, you will be invited for an interview. Interviews normally take place on campus, but for entry-level roles, these will be arranged via Zoom. The possible outcomes of the interview are: an unconditional offer, a conditional offer (meaning you still need to satisfy the entry qualifications in some way), or a rejection of your application. If successful, an offer will be made through UCAS who will then communicate the result to you. Offers for international and part-time students will be made via Pegasus.

So the interview kicked off with me giving a presentation on the research topic. After that, I had a panel interview with four senior staff members. They asked me questions that were directly tied to my experience and the subject matter. It was all very focused on the specific research project I was interviewing for.

I had an interview with two people. It started with a presentation, then they asked me questions about my presentation and the job. After that, they showed me the lab and some other people on the team. The job is very technical.
