Research Assistant
The interview process consisted of a single round. In this round, they asked about my technical background and my abilities in data analysis. Following that, they inquired about the skills listed on my resume and any challenging situations I encountered in previous work experiences.
- What's your availability for the semester?
- What is your class schedule for this semester?
Intern
There's usually just one interview round, and it's mostly behavioral. They'll ask about your resume, so make sure you're ready for that. You might also have to do live demos of projects you've worked on. It's a good idea to look into the IAE more to show you know what they do.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Event Planner
My first contact was a phone interview with someone named Amanda Marshall. The second interview was a 3.5-hour virtual meeting on Zoom. During this second interview, I had to give a 10-minute presentation about an event idea for the college's Week of Welcome. I also interviewed with a large group of at least 15 people.
- They inquired about my collaboration skills.
- They asked me to describe challenging situations.
- They solicited my event ideas for the Week of Welcome.
Human Resources Business Partner
The interview process had two parts, one with a team and another in-person on campus, attended by other HR leaders and HRBPs. The first interview was 45 minutes and the second was about an hour long. Generally, the interviews were easy and straightforward. As is common for academic positions, expect good benefits, but potentially lower salary if you receive and accept an offer.
- Can you describe a time you managed a challenging employee situation?
