The experience was good. They were very professional and described the job duties well. The only problem was that there's a hiring freeze currently, so I couldn't move forward with the process, sadly. Everything is paused right now.

I was interviewed by a group of 6 staff and faculty members who took turns asking me questions about the job, my background, and my career goals. It was pretty relaxed for an interview, and they made me feel comfortable.

The hiring manager reached out and invited me for an interview. During the interview, the manager mentioned concerns about the salary range being significantly lower than my previous salary. I got the impression that there wasn't much flexibility for negotiation, and the manager didn't have the authority to offer a higher salary. About a week later, I received a job offer with a slightly increased salary, and the manager confirmed that this was their best offer. Trusting this, I accepted.
