The interview was very comfortable. It was more about me as an individual and how I would react in a certain scenario. It was very open ended conversations.

A recruiter found my resume online and gave me a call. They asked me some basic questions about my background. The salary was already set at 60 K. The recruiter then had me update my resume before submitting it for review. A few days later, I had an in-person interview. The interviewer asked about my science degree and remarked that PhDs typically earn 40 K.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied online and a week later HR emailed me asking some questions to see if I was still interested. Another week later, HR let me know my application was passed to the hiring manager. A week after that, the hiring manager reached out to schedule an interview. After the interview, I got a general HR email saying I wasn't selected. The interview itself was a panel with two people. One panelist was friendly and engaged, but the hiring manager, who was in the UK, seemed uninterested and even rolled her eyes while I was answering a question. This made me feel like the interview was pointless and she had already chosen someone else. My overall impression for international roles at UMGC is that if you don't have a military connection or aren't a military spouse or vet, it might not be worth applying.
