Behavioral Technical

I applied during the winter before starting grad school. UIC invited me for an interview day after reviewing my application. Throughout the day, I had conversations with different professors and current graduate students. It was a pretty laid-back experience. I figure they were mostly checking if I was who I said I was on my application.

I saw the job posting on the university's job board and submitted my resume. They contacted me because they liked my resume and invited me to their office for an interview. I met with three interviewers, and they asked me a mix of behavioral and technical questions. The entire process was pretty quick, finishing in under a week, and I started working the week after my interview.
