I interviewed with six people. They asked me standard, pre-written questions. It was very basic HR and uncreative. I left the interview feeling less excited due to the lack of innovation and felt the interviewers were robotic. They said they would get back to me in a week, but I had to wait a month for feedback, even after contacting the lead recruiter weekly. I was very unimpressed with the process and glad I didn't move forward with a company that doesn't respect the interview process. It's clear they are unorganized and don't care about entry-level employees. They might blame it on being a government entity, but it felt very unprofessional. I've had much better interviews elsewhere, and it's clear their process needs work.

The interview process for this role at UC Berkeley was quite lengthy, spanning about two months. It began with what seemed like a one-on-one interview, followed by a series of group interviews. I then had an in-person group interview on campus. The hiring manager indicated I'd hear back the following week, but it's been nearly a month with no response, suggesting either I didn't get the role or the university's bureaucracy is extremely slow. It felt like a significant waste of my time as a candidate and was frustrating to go through such an extensive process only to be ghosted.

After submitting my online application, I received a call for an interview two weeks later. During this interview, I was presented with several scenarios and asked to propose solutions. This also served as a chance to learn more about the department, its tasks, and my potential role. A week after that, I was shortlisted for a final interview. In this final round, I was given more scenarios and also had to discuss my reasons for considering a career change.
