It was a skype overseas interview for about an hour with the research supervisor. After that, I had to submit a research proposal. Then, I had to complete an admission application which costs 150 CAD. This involved submitting transcripts, proof of graduation, TOEFL score and statement of interest. I had to wait for the department to process the documents and approve my application. The process was long but not too difficult, and it's pretty much the same as at other North American universities.
