Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at University Hospitals Parma Medical Center.
Registered Nurse
The interview process kicked off with a recruiter chat, then moved on to an interview with a nurse specialist. The recruiter part was straightforward, just covering the basics. After that, I had a phone interview with the nurse specialist.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to deal with stress?
- Could you share an instance when you encountered a question during your work?
Registered Nurse
After I applied, I got an email with a link to do a video interview. It's a video interview that you can do whenever. They give you one practice question, which won't be recorded. When the real interview starts, you have 2 minutes to read and think about your answer. You get 2 tries to answer. After the first try, you can listen to it again. Then, you can either delete it and try again or go to the next question. If you decide to answer the question a second time, you can't listen to it again, the system automatically takes you to the next question.
- What motivates you to seek employment with this organization?
Registered Nurse
It took the recruiters 3 weeks to get back to me. The recruiters are lazy and don't reach out if you don't get the job. I applied for a job at a UH facility back in September and was ghosted even though I called and emailed the recruiter after the interview. I applied to the same position at the same facility in December and had an interview with another recruiter today. She scheduled me an interview with the nurse manager but called me back this afternoon asking if I had interviewed there before. I said yes and pretty much told her that I called and emailed the recruiter after she emailed me. She then told me that the nurses had already found someone else. I'm happy that this current recruiter reached out and let me know ahead of time. I'm a little upset though because it sounds like the previous recruiter put in a bad word which blocked me from getting an interview with the nurse managers.
