Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Universal Processing.
Business Development Associate
After applying, I got a call back a few days later for a phone interview where they asked some general questions. I didn't hear back for about a week and a half, so I emailed HR for an update. The next evening, I got a call inviting me for an interview. The office was nice and accommodating. I met with two people from different departments. They asked about my background and my interest in universal processing. After discussing my background, strengths, and weaknesses, they tested my sales abilities by having me pitch a product and close it. I got a call with an offer two days later.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
Business Development Associate
There were two rounds in the interview process. The first was a phone screen lasting about 30 minutes, followed by a virtual interview that was about 45 minutes long. The questions were mostly behavioral, focusing on communication and sales skills.
- How do you feel about making cold calls?
- Describe your approach to handling rejections.
- What would you say is your biggest weakness?
Business Development Associate
A recruiter reached out about 10 days after I applied. We scheduled a phone interview where she asked about my internships and we had a nice chat. She mentioned I'd hear back in a few days about an on-site interview, but I didn't. After I emailed her, she let me know they were moving forward with another candidate.
- Can you share your experience with cold-calling?
