It started with a pretty casual chat with the head of marketing to get to know me and my experience. Then I was given a task to prepare over a week, which I then presented to the head of marketing. The final interview round was after that.

Behavioral Technical

The whole process took about two weeks. It started with a Skype call with HR, who seemed to lack knowledge about the music industry and specific departments within a label. This recruiter was unprofessional and condescending when asking about my past roles and salary expectations. They also mentioned difficulties in scheduling with the hiring manager. I eventually had in-person interviews with five different people. After the second interview, I realized I didn't want to join their team. Despite their claims of being an indie company, the environment felt very corporate. It seemed like they were instructed to be tough on candidates. None of the six people I met asked me anything about music, which is unusual for these types of interviews. Instead of a natural conversation, it felt like they were reading off a list of generic questions found online. HR didn't follow up, which I've experienced before with this company.
