Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Universal Music Group.
Manager
The process was quite structured and I had one main point of contact for most of it. A different person handled things when it came to the offer. I went through two interview rounds and got an offer. HR also called me a few times during the whole thing.
- Are you open to working in the Sydney office four days a week?
CRM Manager
I had some interviews with the recruitment agency first. Then, I had an in-person interview with the CRM director and after that, with the Senior VP of Digital. There weren't any tests or quizzes, it was a pretty straightforward interview.
- What is CRM?
- Why do you think CRM is important?
- What are your reasons for wanting to work at Universal Music?
Manager
The interview process was straightforward, requiring quick and direct thinking. It was semi-formal, but also felt like a casual chat. The questions were intriguing and made me think, definitely one of the more interesting interviews I've had. I'd happily apply for another role if the opportunity arose.
- Can you share an instance where a project you were managing was falling behind schedule and you knew it would be late, and describe how you handled that situation?
