It wasn't too tough. They didn't ask any leetcode questions. It was more about checking my conversation skills and my past experience and projects. There were 4 rounds in total, and one take-home test which was between the 2nd and 3rd round. The take-home test involved using unity to build a very basic project. After that, there was an interview where I had to describe my solution and make some live coded changes.

The interview process felt thorough and engaging. The design question and the home application task, which covered both backend and frontend aspects, were structured well, offered a good challenge, and were a great opportunity to demonstrate practical skills.

I applied online and heard back after 3 weeks from a recruiter who scheduled an interview but then cancelled and rescheduled for the following week. The recruiter asked me very technical questions even though she wasn't technical herself. At the end, she mentioned that because the hiring manager is in Israel, a time zone difference might be an issue, and said she'd get back to me. I never heard back, despite following up. The company advertised the role as remote in Canada but seemed to be looking for specific ethnicities and time zones, which made me question why they wasted my time. It felt like they needed to interview a certain percentage of minority candidates for equal opportunity. I wouldn't recommend this company; it was messy.

  • In which time zone do you usually work?
  • What is your specific experience with EKS?
