The interview process was super smooth. I've interviewed with Unity before and they've always been great. The questions across different interview panels didn't repeat, and the interviewers clearly reviewed notes from previous conversations, as their questions built upon my earlier answers. This is rare! I met a variety of people, and you could tell they really cared about their work. As a recruiter myself, I was really impressed with how well they managed everything, the quick feedback, and how professional they were. :)

I put in an application online and got an email back within a week for a chat. Seems like most people apply through the website. The first call was pretty chill and nice. But, the onsite interviews were super confusing and just overall weird and uncomfortable. Most of the people I met with were cool, except for one who was way too close for comfort. Two of them just read questions from a script. When I asked about diversity stuff or how recruiters and sourcers interact, the answers were all over the place, not really thought out, just buzzwords. It was easy though, and I knew early on I wasn't really a culture fit for the current team.

I was contacted on LinkedIn for this position and wasn't actively searching, but I decided to apply since I really liked Unity and the games made with their platform. The interview process had 4 rounds. The first was with Miriam in the UK. The next two were in the US, and the final one was with someone in upper management, also in the UK. I had expected to interview with people in Canada, but I ended up speaking with 4 different individuals from various locations who were part of the division I would potentially oversee. I mentioned in my initial screen that having a solid core team is important to me, so getting a chance to meet the people I'd primarily interact with would be great. The first and last interviews seemed to go well, but the interviewers in the US appeared disengaged and were distracted by their partners during the interviews. I also felt they weren't particularly enthusiastic about Unity, treating it as just another recruitment job.
