Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Unity.
Student Worker
It was a three part interview process. First up was a call with a recruiter who told me about the job and asked about my background and why I'm interested. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager where they asked more technical questions and about my past experiences. Lastly, I met with two team members, which gave me a better sense of the job and the company culture.
- Can you tell me about a time you worked as part of a team?
- How do you navigate situations where there are differing opinions?
Intern
Applied online. It was a nice experience overall, but the recruiter could have been more professional. The first round was to learn more about me. The second round was a panel interview with behavioral questions and questions to learn about my experiences and technical knowledge. The third round was a technical interview where I had to present a piece of my own work to demonstrate my abilities and communication skills.
- What sparked your interest in Unity?
- Could you share some of your relevant experiences?
Intern
A recruiter reached out to me about this summer internship and I was amazed at the opportunity. I had a technical phone screen with the recruiter, then was scheduled for 1-on-1 interviews with each of my potential team members. The whole thing took about a month, but they kept me updated on my progress. The team members were very nice and respectful, there were a few technical questions but mostly it was just talking. I highly recommend researching Unity and the program you're applying to beforehand. I got an offer soon after my interviews, which I accepted.
- What contributions can you make to this program?
- What is your understanding of Unity?
- Could you elaborate on your background?
