Behavioral

The interview process was really informative, and my interviewer did a good job explaining the expectations and requirements for the role. I heard it's a lot of work, but if you're like me, that won't scare you away. You'll be working hard anyway, so why not do it for a big company like UnitedHealth that offers great benefits?

Behavioral Technical

The interview process involved a HireVue first interview, followed by an HR interview. Then, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. It felt pretty impersonal because the only way to know if I advanced or not was by checking my online account, which is also how I found out I didn't get the job. Overall, the questions were pretty standard.

Other

My application was online. United Health Group responded online within 2 weeks expressing interest. The next step is a recorded interview. They have all your history. They can record you answering unlimited/unknown questions. These answers can be passed around/emailed to unlimited strangers to review and judge before you can speak to anyone. They say they record video to 'see your face and how you respond!'. But we cannot see their face and how they respond to judge their needs and respond. This is not acceptable.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Are you okay with allowing unlimited, unknown strangers to judge you, given that you've never done a 'one way' interview recording before?
  • Can UnitedHealth Group see your face and how you respond?
  • Will you allow others at UHG to review your recording?
