It was a simple process, no coding questions. They asked about my technical and past experiences. I got a tour of the office and they asked about my resume and projects. I was asked to show interest in the company. Very nice office.

I recently had a two-round interview process with United Wholesale Mortgage for a Senior Software Engineer position. It started with a recruiter chat and then a panel with engineering managers. The thing that really stood out was that engineers weren't part of the interviews at all. Managers made all the hiring decisions, which felt weird and not connected to the actual technical work. As a senior engineer, I expected to talk with peers or leads to see how the team works and what challenges there are, but that was completely missing. After the panel, I tried to get feedback or find out about next steps by calling and emailing several times, but I was totally ghosted and never heard back. It's a bummer when a big company like this doesn't even have the basic courtesy to respond after candidates put in time and effort. Honestly, it felt like a waste of time and gave me a bad impression of how they treat engineering talent and the whole candidate experience.

The recruiter called me for my phone interview, but I missed it by a second. I emailed and called back immediately, but got no response. I used their link to reschedule for a week later. When the time came for that interview, I never got a call. I emailed the recruiter, and they replied 10 minutes later saying they had phone issues and to reschedule. I rescheduled again for the following week, and for the second time, I didn't get a call during the interview time. I sent another email 2 minutes after our scheduled start time and still haven't heard back. This company is completely unprofessional.
