First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at United Way.
AI Specialist
Waste of time. HR phone interview, then an in person interview, a technical project, then 2 other in person interviews. Process felt rushed, felt like they just went through the motions of an interview rather than assessing genuine suitability for the role. In the final round the CTO mentioned their only goal for investing in AI is to gain revenue which I thought was incredibly strange and poor considering its a non-profit. Very cold impersonal rejection after all was said and done.
- How do you think your colleagues would describe you?
- Can you share an example of a project where you faced and overcame a challenge?
Senior Specialist
The interview had two meetings. First, an HR interview. Second, a panel with the president and area director. They required a lengthy assessment. Otherwise the interview was straightforward and very comfortable.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join United Way?
Specialist
This was a really long interview and hiring process. I was asked a lot of tough questions all throughout. There was also a very long training period with a mix of individual and group activities. The training group was quite small.
- What's your approach to managing a call from someone who is suicidal?
