First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at United Therapeutics.
Medical Affairs Intern
The interview process was really simple. I first had a screening call with HR about my background and why I'm interested in United Therapeutics. Then, I had an on-site behavioral interview with the team. It was a great experience overall, everyone was very nice and welcoming.
- Can you share an instance where you needed to adapt?
Process Engineer
So, I had 4 video interviews on Microsoft Teams. I interviewed with the hiring manager and some other team members. All 4 interviews went pretty well, and they seemed really optimistic that I'd be a good fit. After the fourth interview, which was with the director, they said they'd be in touch soon. But then I never heard back, even after I tried reaching out multiple times by email and phone. It was a really strange and negative experience.
- Were you asked all very basic generic interview questions?
Medical Information Manager
First there was a phone interview with HR. Then a video interview with the Manager. After that, they flew me out for an in-person interview with the team and stakeholders. It covered everything, and I had to do a presentation. It was about 8 hours total. I also had to create a Standard Response Document or Medical Information Letter. So sad I won't be joining such a great company.
- Tell me about a time you did XYZ.
- Can you tell me about a time you accomplished XYZ?
- Describe an instance where you handled XYZ.
Purchasing Requisition Coordinator
The interview process included a phone call with a recruiter, followed by a phone interview with the hiring manager for the position. After that, there was an in-person interview that lasted several hours. During the in-person part, there were multiple one-on-one interviews with different people involved in the decision. These people came from HR, the department for the job you're applying to, and other departments that frequently interact with the role.
- What motivates you to want to join our company?
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with a challenging colleague and explain how you handled the situation?
