The interview process started with recruiting at my college campus, then continued at the SWE National Conference. I was interviewed on the spot after speaking with some representatives, and then had a phone interview with my potential manager a few days later. The entire process took about a month and a half.

The interviewers were very nice and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me. The interview was at the corporate headquarters in Farmington and lasted about 45 minutes. It's apparent they're really passionate about their company, so I'd suggest doing some research on their background, including their different branches and types of operations, before you go. I definitely recommend UTC as a great place to work, both for an internship and for a future career.

The hiring and interview process at UTC tends to be super long. I went through three interviews, each about one to two weeks apart, and then didn't start until three weeks later. This might just be for internships. Lots of people want to work at UTC, so don't expect it to be fast. Learn a bunch about the company before your interview, it really helps and they'll be impressed.
