Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at United Talent.
Assistant
The first interview was more involved than I expected. I thought I didn't perform well, but I was surprised to be invited for a second interview. In the second interview, the interviewers arrived 10 minutes late. I was about to cancel the interview because they clearly didn't value my time, which might indicate something about the company culture. They didn't provide any reason for their tardiness. An interview scheduled for 15 minutes was shortened to 5 because they had another meeting afterward. I didn't get to talk much or ask questions. It's been over two months, and I haven't received any follow-up.
- What about UTA interests you enough to apply for this position?
Assistant
I recently went through a 1:1 interview at UTA. It was super relaxed and felt like a chat. It was a pre-screener to see my background, what I liked, and why UTA. The person interviewing me was really nice and made it feel like a conversation, not a tough interview, so I felt good talking about my experience and asking stuff about the job. It was a good chance to connect and find out more about the agency and its vibe. If you're prepping for something like this, it’s smart to think about why you want the job, keep it chill, and show you’re really interested in UTA’s work and where it’s heading!
- How do you usually consume media?
Assistant
Had a 30 minute phone call with a higher up in the department, though not the person I would be assisting. It was a pretty nice chat all in all. UTA's culture is usually nice and kind, but they prioritize business, and you can tell.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you share an instance where you exceeded expectations in a previous role?
- What have you been watching or reading for fun lately?
