Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at United Talent.
Agent
It was smooth overall. Basic interview questions were asked along with behavioral questions as expected. I was told that I would be updated on the status of my application within 2 weeks, but I heard nothing from them, so when the 3rd week rolled by, I followed up with HR and was told that I was still being considered and to look out for an invite to their recruitment event. This was a 1-day thing where a group of candidates came out to sit-in during a couple seminars that featured agents discussing their job and respective departments. I noticed HR agents were hovering nearby the whole time and taking notes on which recruit asked questions and how the recruits were interacting with each other and the agents. It seems to have been a chance for UTA to observe how the recruits handle themselves.
- Why are you interested in UTA?
- What prompted your interest in marketing?
- Regarding your resume, could you elaborate on your experience at <company name> and your responsibilities there?
Agent
The interview process was a really nice experience. You definitely get the Hollywood vibe when applying to be an agent. It lasted about an hour and we went through my cover letter and my resume. You can tell they deal with big clients, so they are very serious about their hiring process.
- If I am prepared to work on call as being an agent isn't a job it is a lifestyle?
Agent
I applied online and a few days later they got back to me for a screening interview on a video call. The interviewer made it really comfortable and took notes as I answered what they asked.
- What is your understanding of UTA and how did you find out about it?
- Can you share instances where you've employed creative problem-solving skills?
