Inside Sales Representative
I had a Zoom interview with a recruiter from a temp agency for a temp-to-perm role. It was pretty straightforward, about 20-30 minutes. They asked typical questions like to describe myself as a salesperson and my strengths. The recruiter said they'd recommend me for the next step, which was a Zoom call with my direct manager. A day or two later, I had that interview. It was similar to the first one, and I got to ask some questions. The manager was really friendly and a good listener. Before the call ended, she messaged her boss to recommend me, and I was set up for a third Zoom interview with them the next day. All three interviewers were really nice, enthusiastic, asked fair questions, and gave honest, thoughtful answers to my questions.

Sales Representative
I had an initial phone/teams interview with the hiring manager, and then another with his manager. It was a basic interview that started normally. I was applying for a sales territory that used to be mine at a similar job, so I mentioned I'd bring existing contacts in the industry. They gave me an offer at the bottom of the base range we discussed. Given my experience and industry contacts, I was expecting to start at the high end, so I negotiated for a better base salary. Instead of saying no, they told me I'd hear back and then ghosted me. Pretty unbelievable.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience as listed on your resume?
- Do you have any standard interview questions for us?
Sales Representative
The interview process was a 30-minute no-show. They didn't call or email, which felt unprofessional. I wouldn't have taken the job anyway because the recruiter's explanation of the pay structure differed from what the interviewer with the nose ring said.
- Are you able to commit to the e-training?
