After submitting my resume, there was a general ability test, followed by a video interview. Then, I explored different departments through a forum and filled out a form to indicate up to 6 department preferences. Finally, there were 2 rounds of interviews. The first was a 1-on-1, and the second involved 1-3 interviewers depending on the department.

This UOB interview experience was disappointing for a Developer, Core Banking role, impacting my 10-year career. The process included a first technical round on May 9th, with a nearly two-month delay in updates and unclear contact. Multiple WhatsApp follow-ups were needed for basic info, taking days. A second technical round was scheduled with short notice, requiring me to reschedule my wife's hospital appointment. The interviewer was 25 minutes late without notice, and the interview itself only lasted 25 minutes, feeling like an unfair assessment. I was informed of the result via a WhatsApp voice call, lacking a written summary, which felt disorganized. Despite requesting formal feedback, no email response was received. This experience made my efforts feel wasted, and I urge hiring teams to consider candidates' investments and practice clear communication, timely feedback, and courtesy.

The interview process was pretty standard. There were two coding assessments that were of average difficulty, and then an interview with the staff and recruiting team where there was no live coding.
