Outside Sales Representative
I was contacted right away after I sent my resume and agreed to a first phone interview a couple days later. It was about 30 minutes and went well, so we set up a second, longer phone interview for the next week. The HR interviewer and I had a great chat, and she seemed to like my skills and personality. She then sent me a link for a video interview I had to record at home based on pre-recorded questions. After I finished and submitted it, the HR person said I'd hear from the regional sales manager the next day. I followed up two days later because I hadn't heard from the regional manager. Nothing... I followed up again a few days later and got a call back from HR saying the regional manager had some 'concerns' about where I live, specifically that being in the center of the territory meant crossing a busy bridge daily for my commute. This was totally ridiculous and a dishonest concern from someone who doesn't even live locally; frankly, it was a lazy excuse to not move forward. She did mention I was still being considered and to expect to hear back soon. Nothing... I was completely ghosted.
- Are you able to be in your territory and ready to start working by 6AM daily?
Sales Manager
It was a nice, informational call with Denise. She answered my initial questions. I've since looked into the company on Glassdoor and have a lot more questions for our in-person meeting.
- Could I live on $600 per week?
Sales Representative
Contacted by corporate recruiter. Jobs posted at 50k plus commission. Beware they are dishonest. They lump your auto expense into salary that is 30k. They tell you it's a partially established territory and there is no real business. They have not had a rep for more than a year. The recruiting person and the hiring manager play dumb about the conflict of information they provide and salary lies.
- What makes you want to work for United?
Sales Representative
Started off good, but the whole process was totally misleading and unprofessional. They even asked me if I had kids during the interview. The interviews were held in a hotel lobby. I got hired but decided not to take the job because the pay is misleading with a very extensive pay structure. It seems like they want to distract you with the pay details.
- How much sales experience do you have?
