So there were 3 of us there that day, the other two were gunning for a sales gig. We all went into this conference room and they gave us this presentation about their sales strategy and how their residual income payment model works. It was about 20 mins, they didn't ask much, and the stuff they did ask wasn't normal interview stuff. At the end, we had to fill out this worksheet with questions like "Why should we hire you?" "Why the company?" "Why the job?" and so on.

It was a group "interview" with over 15 people, but it was really more like a long presentation about the perks of commission-based residual income and insurance sales. It turns out it was another sales job disguised as a marketing position. They send you a questionnaire afterward to consider you for round 2. If you're into sales, they seem legit. I just didn't appreciate how misleading the job post was.

  • In your opinion, what is the most effective method for connecting with potential clients?
  • Between commission-based residual income and a salary, which do you believe is superior?

I had a group interview with three other candidates, who were interviewing for different positions. A Senior Partner asked us to introduce ourselves and explain our interest in the role. He then gave a PowerPoint presentation about the different positions at the company and discussed salary, noting that there's no base salary. I felt they were looking more for sales than an analyst, which suggested it wasn't the right fit for me.

  • Would you rather have residual income or a fixed salary?
