First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Unite Us.
Engineer
It was a standard 4 round process. First, an informational chat with the recruiter. Then, a team member panel to check for culture fit. After that, an interview with the manager focusing on culture and technical skills, including an assessment. Finally, an interview with the skip level person covering a broad scope. The offer came after the last interview.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses.
Product Manager
After applying, I was contacted by a recruiter. The process included an initial screening interview, followed by a hiring manager interview. Then there were two peer interviews, and a final interview. Everyone seemed really passionate about the company's mission, making it feel like a great place to work.
- Can you share your background with product analytics?
- Tell me about a situation where you had a disagreement with stakeholders.
- Walk me through an instance where you took a product from its initial concept to launch.
Account Executive
The interview was pretty bad for a few reasons. They didn't really tell me what they wanted for the case study, like what the goal was or how I'd be judged. So it was hard to show what I could do. Also, they didn't follow up after, and I had no idea what was next or when I'd hear back. The interview itself felt all over the place and rushed. The interviewers didn't seem ready or into it, which made it awkward and not helpful. Plus, it just didn't feel very professional, which was a bummer.

Community Engagement Manager
This was one of the smoothest interview experiences I've ever had. They told me upfront there would be 4 rounds during the first chat with the recruiter. What really stood out was that before each interview, I got a packet with prep tips and what to expect. It felt like they really wanted to help candidates succeed! I was super impressed, and though I turned down their offer for another that was a bit closer to my long-term goals, I would've been really happy to work at Unite Us. Their great communication and clear expectations made me want to join them.
- Can you talk about projects you've managed and how you manage change within them?
- What is your experience and comfort level with technology implementation?
- How do you align with and demonstrate the company's 4 core values?
