Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Unisys.
Systems Engineer
I interviewed for Junior IT system Administrator at Unisys and had a structured interview process. The first round was a panel interview with four interviewers. They seemed engaged and gave positive feedback, saying they were happy with my answers and that the next step would be a final round with the client the following week. But after the expected timeline passed, I had to follow up myself because there was no communication about the next steps. Unfortunately, I heard nothing for several weeks. Eventually, over a month later, I got an email saying they decided to go in a different direction. I appreciate the opportunity to interview with Unisys, but the long delay in communication and lack of timely updates made the experience not ideal. A more transparent and responsive process would really improve things for candidates.
- Can you describe your most recent project?
Systems Engineer
This was a really bad interview experience. They weren't punctual at all. They initially called me for a .net + angular profile, but the interviewer was expecting something completely different that I hadn't worked on. They were looking for experience in Windows applications and custom routing algorithms, which was totally not what the profile I was called for was about.
- Can you explain how Microsoft's load balancer functions?
Systems Engineer
I was contacted by a recruiter after I put my resume on a job site. They set up an interview and I got the job description. I interviewed with the team lead and an engineer on the team. It was a pretty relaxed interview where we talked about my skills and experience and what the job would be like. I also met the director of the local office. The whole interview process was pretty fast and not too bad. I got an offer two days after the interview and they wanted a response right away.
- Can you tell us about your experience working with this particular software product?
