First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Unisys.
Software Engineer
I went through the Unisys internship interview process via campus placement. First, there was an online test with aptitude, logic, and basic coding questions. Those who passed moved on to an interview where they asked basic Python, programming fundamentals, and problem-solving questions. The interviewers were nice and it felt comfortable. They wanted to see if I knew basic coding and could think logically, not super hard stuff. The whole thing was smooth and organized, good for freshers to show their tech basics and communication.
- Can you tell me about the project on your resume, what problem it addresses, the tech you used, and what you did on it?
- Could you elaborate on how your project's system functions?
- What difficulties did you encounter while developing your project?
Applications Developer
First there was an aptitude round focusing on quant and logical problems. Then a technical round with DSA and backend development questions, including networking concepts like TCP/IP layers and OS questions. Finally, an HR interview to discuss remote or work-from-home arrangements.
- Can you explain how to reverse a linked list and add a node?
- Questions about linked lists, specifically reversing and adding nodes.
Software Engineer
It started with an online aptitude test to weed out lots of people, checking logic, math, and words. Then, a Group Discussion to see how well we communicate, work with others, and think on our feet. After that, two technical interviews. The first one was on core concepts and problem-solving. The second one was deeper, focusing on my projects and how I've used my skills practically. Lastly, an HR interview to check personality, if I'd fit in, and my future plans.
- Can you tell me about your understanding of linked lists?
- What are your thoughts on tree data structures?
- How would you explain sorting algorithms?
