First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Unisys.
Consultant Engineer
This was the first company which offered me a position in User Interface Design/User Experience. I was so happy when they gave us a form to fill in our options. I chose User Experience over SD/Business Analyst and UE. The first round was a two-phase round which had 3 subsections each. 1. Programming - a) Software Engineering Objective Questions b) Debugging Round - 1 c/cpp/Java c) Debugging Round - 2 c/cpp/Java 2. Verbal Communication - a) Errors in English Sentences. b) Write an essay on a topic. The round went on for 2 hours. Then the students were shortlisted and grouped according to the opted positions. They went through the next rounds. Business analysts and SDs went through an extra round called Technical- Business - Case Study. UE people went for the Technical and then HR interviews. I was the first person to be interviewed that day. Personality Development's mock interviews helped me in overcoming the tension. Please carry two copies of resumes and passport photographs with you. The Technical and HR people conducted interviews together simultaneously.
- Would you normally break the rules and go out of bounds to attract users, or would you just stick to the rules?
- Tell us about yourself.
- Can you describe the project you worked on based on your resume?
NOC Engineer
So the interview started with them asking me to introduce myself, then they hit me with some basic technical questions. After that, there were two scenario-based questions. I felt like I answered most of them pretty well, but it seemed like they were more focused on my communication skills than my technical knowledge.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
- Do you have any basic technical knowledge?
- How would you handle these scenarios?
Lead Engineer
Had a couple of technical rounds which weren't too tough, you could answer them easily if you're good with fundamentals and hands-on. Then there were some process and attitude questions.
- Questions on Java, Hibernate, and Spring were asked.
