Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Unispec.
Administrative Assistant
I went through an assessment test, and then after two weeks, HR got in touch to set up an interview. Finally, I interviewed with the CEO. The interviews felt natural but were also very professional. Unispec is looking to see if I'm a good cultural fit and if I can handle working with federal government clients.
- What makes you feel you should be employed at Unispec?
Executive Assistant
I had a phone interview with the CEO, then two in-person interviews, one with the CEO again and another with the project manager. Everything seemed to go well initially, and they were trying to figure out the best placement for me, assuring me a job would be available. After a month of silence, they had me repeat the same interview and skills assessment with the project manager. This also went well, and I was told they'd confirm my placement by the end of the following week. However, I heard nothing for almost two months before receiving a generic email stating they were moving on with other candidates. This was disappointing given their earlier assurances and the total three-month waiting period without feedback.
- Can you explain how your past experience aligns with the requirements of this role?
Administrative Assistant
I started with a phone screen, then had to do an online assessment. After about a month, I was invited for an in-person interview. This interview involved a teleconference with a group of interviewers. I got the offer the same day. After that, there was a really long background check for public trust.
