My interview at Union Pacific was pretty good, really professional and structured, but still friendly. They asked a lot of behavioral questions, and also looked at my technical skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Communication was clear, the interviewers were supportive, and I got to talk about my projects and experience. It was a good experience!

The interview was pretty chill and not too formal. They asked some standard questions you'd probably get anywhere. Just make sure to dress well for it, even if it's online. The whole thing took about 45 minutes.

Behavioral Technical

Got an interview invite via email a week after applying (Sept-Oct 2025) for the Summer Technology Intern role. We scheduled a 30-min Zoom meeting with 4 interviewers (3 technical, 1 intern coordinator). Their names were in the email so I checked them out on LinkedIn. It was mostly behavioral and situational questions about my experiences, and some technical ones about my programming language skills, projects (personal and class), and cybersecurity knowledge. It felt pretty positive and informal, like a chat, though I was a bit nervous. At the end, I asked them about the intern and employee experience and for advice on how they got to their current positions. Still waiting to hear back.
