The interview process was pretty straightforward. It consisted of a single interview with two people on the panel. They basically went through my resume item by item and asked about my responsibilities in each role. The whole thing took about twenty minutes, and I had some time left at the end to ask my own questions.

A campus recruiter from UP came to our University and gave a presentation about the company. I applied online and got a call about a week later to schedule a phone interview, which we ended up doing right then and there, and it was pretty standard. About a week after that, I was invited to a second round interview in Omaha. UP covered all the expenses and even gave me a tour of Omaha, which is actually nicer than you might think. Everyone was friendly, and all the interviews felt like casual conversations. They really seemed to care about analytical and technical skills. They asked "Why UP?" a lot. It's a great place with great people; if I hadn't had a local offer, I would have accepted.

The first round was an on-campus interview coordinated by career services. This initial stage was pretty straightforward; the recruiter asked standard questions like "Why UP?", "What do you know about UP?", and other basic resume-related inquiries. They also inquired about familiarity with tools such as Pivot Tables, Excel, and SQL. The second round took place in person at their headquarters in Omaha, with all expenses covered. This round involved interviews with the Audit & Finance department, featuring a mix of one-on-one and panel discussions where the same questions were repeatedly asked. The questions were not difficult and focused on resume details, "Why UP?", feelings about Omaha, and examples of leadership and analytical skills.
