Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Union Bank.
Analyst
The interview process overall was pretty smooth. The hiring manager was approachable and asked some really good questions. It was kind of funny, because the hiring manager had a hard time explaining what the job actually entailed. After I got hired and then ended up being on the other side of the hiring process myself, I figured out that this was because the team often hires analysts with the idea that they'll be needed, without actually having a concrete job description ready for them.
- Can you share details about your previous work experience?
- What are your strongest skills and areas for improvement?
- Provide an example of a situation where you had to work without clear direction.
Analyst
The interview process has changed quite a bit due to management changes. It was pretty laid-back and didn't really focus on job-specific questions. It was a panel interview, and it felt like the interviewers were just picking favorites. I also had to complete a skill test that they emailed to me.
- Can you tell me about your last job?
- What were your duties in your previous role?
- How do you handle stress?
Analyst
Had one interview round with two people, it lasted for an hour and was very detailed. The interviewers were very experienced and knowledgeable, and they asked detailed questions.
- What made you leave your previous job?
