Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UniFirst.
Sales Representative
The first two interviews went fine. It was a little strange that the second interviewer didn't know I'd already had the first one. My third interview was with the regional manager. He came off as a jerk who only cared about money and not the people or candidates. I think that interview is why I didn't get the offer. The company itself seems to offer good commissions and a decent base salary.

Sales Representative
The interview process has been professional and consistent so far. After passing the phone conversation with the internal recruiter, I had an in-person interview with the Sales Manager for my region. While arriving on site, I was given a personality assessment to complete before the interview started. His style was conversational and a good mix of professional & casual. The next steps entail creating a presentation to share with him and his boss on why they should hire me. I have not received an offer as of now.
- What makes you want to join UniFirst?
Sales Representative
A recruiter from LinkedIn reached out and we set up a call. After that, the recruiter went silent for 3 weeks. I tried to get updates multiple times with no response. During this period, another UniFirst recruiter contacted me, but I told them I was already in the process. After 3 weeks of silence, the original recruiter texted and emailed, asking if I could do another interview with short notice. I agreed, and the interview was scheduled for two days later. I had a great in-person interview, and the manager offered me a final interview during our 1.5-hour meeting. The final interview involved a PowerPoint presentation, which was a first for me. I prepared my presentation and received compliments on it. They said I'd hear back by the end of the week. Then, I was ghosted again. I've reached out to both the recruiter and the manager. I was excited about this position because of the company's reputation. However, this has been a really bad and confusing experience. Recruiters and management expect you to drop everything for interviews and presentations, only to ghost you afterward. The funny part is, I got another LinkedIn message today about the open position. There really needs to be better communication among recruiters. I've now been offered interviews by 3 different recruiters.
