Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UniFirst.
Office Administrator
It was a very relaxed conversation, felt like I was already getting the job. He mentioned he'd be in touch about the next steps for starting.
- Would you be comfortable leading a team of office associates?
- Are you able to meet with other team leaders to discuss plans?
Office Assistant
The first part of the interview process was a phone screening. It was a 20-minute phone call to talk more about the job and see if I was interested in the role. When I was talking about my qualifications, I mentioned that I went to University in Ireland, which is where I'm from. The HR person interviewing me then used a fake mocking Irish accent and asked 'oh you’re from Ireland? Are you Irish' again in a fake accent. This made me not want the job immediately and was a bad move by the HR person. I don't want to work for this company anymore.
- Can you tell me about your qualifications and previous work experience?
Executive Assistant
It was very informative and I learned a lot about the company's history. We talked about each other's backgrounds. We discussed the job description, goals, salary, my resume, and highlighted my skills and strengths.
- Can you tell me about your skills and past job experience?
