The interview process began with a pleasant screening call with the HR rep. The conversation was comfortable and informative. She first provided an overview of the company and its work culture, followed by a few basic technical questions to understand my background. Overall, the discussion was smooth and helped set clear expectations for the next steps in the process.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was pretty good, and everyone I spoke with was really friendly. It started with a video call with the head of engineering and a product manager. Then there was a technical test that I had to complete within a specific timeframe, which wasn't too difficult. Finally, I had a last interview with the VP of engineering and the lead architect. We had a good conversation about the test and my overall experience. Unfortunately, they decided not to extend an offer, and I didn't get much feedback, which was a bit disappointing.

Technical Behavioral

Had a nice face to face interview, the people seemed quite likable. Communication was poor regarding the homework assignment, with an unrealistic timeline and no response to my questions or possibility of moving the deadline. I handed it in on time anyway and after a few days of nagging was told they want someone 'more senior'. If 'more senior' means someone with all the free time in the world, then fine. A few more hours would have made a huge difference to the quality, but I can't just drop my personal life responsibilities. While they seemed like lovely people, their communication after the interview suggested a lack of organization and management in the dev team or company. It was basically a big waste of time for everyone.
