Technical Behavioral

We had two 30-minute phone interviews with analysts/associates. They'd introduce themselves, then I'd walk them through my CV for about 5 minutes. After that, they'd spend about 20 minutes asking technical questions, starting with basic accounting concepts and then moving on to DCF-related questions. Finally, I'd have 2 or 3 minutes to ask them some questions.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Can you explain how the three main financial statements are connected?
  • Please guide me through the process of performing a Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis.
  • What is the method for calculating enterprise value?

The interview included a case study and a sell-side pitch, with some tech questions interspersed. It was an hour long and featured one calculation question. Some questions were unexpected, but overall it wasn't too difficult. It's important to prepare well for the tech questions. The case study also required a presentation. There were also some CV questions.
