First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UniCredit Group.
Financial Consultant
First I got a call asking about my availability geographically and for work. A few weeks later, UniCredit set up a group interview where we had to deal with various theoretical situations. I have to admit it was moderately difficult because my background isn't exactly in this field. The atmosphere was a bit tense, and the recruiters didn't make me feel super comfortable, but overall it wasn't terrible.
- How would you handle a situation where a client wants a loan but has a risky profile, and you need to decide whether to approve it, given a detailed context?
Financial Consultant
After completing the online assessment and a phone quiz, I was invited for a group interview at the office. The recruiters were very friendly, and the atmosphere felt positive. However, I cannot say the same about the HR person who handled the job offer afterwards. She was inadequate, incompetent, and arrogant. She mentioned that they send new hires to work 30-40km away from home, implying they need to be car owners, then she proposed a position 80km away, likely without realizing what she was saying. When I stated I couldn't start in December, she offered me mid-December (about two weeks from the offer), suggesting my application might be archived otherwise. Then, miraculously, she called back and found other dates after my refusal. Furthermore, I applied for a remote assistance role, but was offered a branch consultant contract. It's a shame Unicredit, having such people is truly a disappointment.
- How would you resolve group situations?
- Give a presentation in English.
Financial Consultant
The interview involves an initial phase of aptitude tests and basic skills and knowledge assessment, in logic and general culture. Subsequently, there's a brief phone call where territorial availability is requested and the offer is described. Finally, there's an HR group assessment on problem-solving by stepping into a plausible case.
- Imagine yourself in a plausible ideal scenario and provide assistance to a long-standing client, presenting various packages and solutions.
