The Unico Skill selection process was the most human and welcoming I've ever experienced in my career. From the first contact, the recruiter was clear, empathetic, and transparent, explaining each step objectively and respectfully. During the interviews, I met frank, accessible professionals who were open to dialogue, making the conversations honest and constructive. There was real space for healthy debates about work experiences and visions, which is rare in selection processes.
- One of the big questions that made me reflect was, how did I understand what CX is?

Long process - takes about 1 month to 1.5 months. At least they are honest that it will take time and let you know in the first stage. The first stage was with a recruiter and the second with the hiring manager. The hiring manager showed interest in me and signaled that they wanted me to continue in the process, and a few days later I received feedback that I would not proceed. I was left confused.

The hiring process for Unico's Academy program was incredibly fast. I went from the initial conversation to selection in just two weeks, completing four interviews. This was a stark contrast to other companies where I've waited two months for a response. The role aligned perfectly with my current career stage, where I have a strong academic background but am seeking practical market experience to translate my doctoral research into tangible products and user value. This alignment was a key theme throughout the four conversations: the job presentation, the HR interview, the technical assessment, and the culture discussion. During the job presentation, Unico outlined their needs, which directly matched my doctoral research area. The HR interview clarified the specifics of the Academy program and the company's dynamic nature, which is one of the aspects that attracted me – the constant opportunity for learning. The technical interview focused on the previously mentioned demand, which is precisely what I'm currently working on. Finally, the culture chat was very engaging and ran over the allotted time. A crucial takeaway is that despite being an academic program (Academy), the goal is to contribute to the company's product development. It's not purely R&D with extensive research before any output. Instead, it involves delivering value to customers more rapidly by collaborating closely with engineering and product teams, embodying the agile software development principles. I'm thrilled to have been accepted into the program, and these past two months have been fantastic, filled with immense learning.

Staff Software Engineer
The hiring process was really long, way too long. They said they could schedule up to two interviews on the same day, which shows a total lack of respect for the candidate's time. There were 5 questions in total. My process took 3 weeks. The initial chats were okay, but during the talk with my 'potential' manager, they weren't friendly at all, very different from what they promote about the company culture. In the cultural chat, the interviewers seemed unsure of what to ask, totally unprepared, even asking each other if they had more questions. It's strange for a company that claims to have such amazing values not to even provide a reason for not moving forward with a candidate. Good thing it didn't work out. In all stages, I asked about projects, and everyone said they were busy but not rushing. Regarding recent layoffs, they gave generic answers about the market situation.
