Senior Manager
While everyone I met was nice, the interview process was a letdown. It involved five rounds and a four-hour performance task. I got multiple emails about scheduling, with changing dates, and they blamed miscommunication and disorganization for delays. I was repeatedly told I'd get an update by the end of the week, but weeks went by without any word. Candidates spend a lot of time and often take time off work for these long interviews. At the very least, they deserve clear and timely communication to show respect for their time and effort.
- Describe your methods for staying organized and how you handle disagreements with coworkers.
Management
The interview process felt really easy and welcoming. They were eager to share information and be upfront about things. Everyone I met was smart, approachable, and very open. I had conversations with three different individuals, and each one made a positive impression.
- Can you tell me about your commitment to neurodiverse learning and how you plan to make improvements in this area?
DEI Manager
The interview process was really long and slow. I had to chase them a lot for updates. I started in November 2021, and by January 2022, it finally got to the last stage. After meeting with the hiring manager, who was 15 minutes late and only asked me one question, I had to wait another two weeks for feedback. By then, I wasn't interested anymore. What really confirmed this wasn't the right place for me was that they never officially told me I didn't get the job. I reached out to the recruiter and hiring manager to say I was withdrawing my application, and the recruiter just sent a "best of luck" email back.
- Can you describe a time you had to manage a challenging conversation?
