So two recruiters reached out to me on LinkedIn. I applied, and I let them know I lived in a suburb of Baltimore, about 2 hours away, and to be in the office 3 days a week, I would need to be relocated closer. They said they don't offer relocation, and asked if I would move myself, which I said no to. Honestly, it's pretty funny to reach out to someone about a job and expect them to pay for their own relocation. Especially since I only applied after being contacted online.

Supply Chain Intern
I applied online and then did this weird HireVue interview, which was a different way of interviewing but seemed practical because you get a few tries to practice before the actual recorded interview. After a few weeks, I got an email for a second interview over WebEx with someone from the team I applied for, and within a week, I knew I got an offer.

Procurement Specialist
I had a recruiter phone screen, then a casual chat with the hiring manager. After that, there were four separate interviews, each with two team members, totaling eight people. It felt a bit overwhelming to have that many conversations in one go. The day after my interviews, the recruiter emailed saying she had an update and wanted to chat the next day. I gave her my availability, but she never called. Almost a week passed with no word, so I figured it was a rejection, though her initial message made me wonder if maybe she was just out sick. I emailed again, waited several days with no reply, then she finally got back to me to schedule a call. Later that afternoon, she called to let me know I didn't get the job because they went with someone who had more direct experience. It was a strange process, especially being told I'd get an update and then being ghosted for days before a call to deliver the news. I also noticed the job was reposted the day before she told me they’d already selected someone else, which makes me question the feedback I received. Definitely an odd experience.
