Assistant Store Manager
For management jobs, it's usually a 2 or 3 step thing. First, you'll interview with the store manager at that location. Then, you'll either have a phone chat or a face-to-face with the District Manager. If it's a higher-up management role, you'll then interview with the Regional Director. They really like people who fit the brand – you don't have to be an athlete, but you should look the part. Make sure to wear Under Armour gear to your interview.
- What's your motivation for wanting to join Under Armour?

- Tell me about your previous management experience in a retail setting.
Store Manager
The hiring process was really fast and well-organized. It was actually pretty enjoyable. I talked with a peer, the District Manager, and the Regional VP. The whole thing took less than three weeks. What I really liked was that everyone was upfront about the company, the store, and the possibilities for moving up.
- Can you tell me about your approach to leadership?
- What experiences do you have in leadership roles?
Store Manager
The recruiter reached out to me about a role based on an old application. We quickly set up a time to connect, and talked through the next steps. I followed up twice over a few weeks, and was told she would let me know about the next steps, but never heard back or got a rejection. It's not a good look to leave candidates hanging – be upfront and honest. I wouldn't apply here again.
- How do you get your team to buy in?
