First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Uncountable.
Software Engineer Intern
First, there was a behavioural interview to see if I was a good fit and talk about my career goals. They also explained the company and the type of work. Then, I had to solve two coding questions and one SQL question. These were like Leetcode easy/medium matrix problems and implementing an Excel sum function.
- Implement a spiral matrix.
- Implement the sum functionality of Excel.
- Write SQL queries.
Software Engineer
This was the worst initial call I've ever had with their co-founder Jason Hirshman. The interviewer was cold, super condescending, and just RUDE. He kept the video off and was silent the whole time, so I had to keep asking him questions. He'd answer with barely one full sentence that wasn't helpful or didn't provide any information about the company. He cut the call short so fast that he barely finished saying 'bye' before hanging up. It was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I never write reviews, but this experience was infuriating. They rejected any next steps right away. I really don't even BOTHER applying to this company because they don't deserve any of your time or work.

Software Engineer
The hiring process was as described on the website. It started with a quick chat with the founder, followed by a more in-depth technical interview. This technical part didn't involve typical LeetCode problems; instead, I was asked to work on some tasks together with the interviewer.
