Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Umbrella Corporation.
Software Engineer
The interview process was pretty long, with 6 interviews that were each between 30 and 45 minutes. It started with a recruiter call, then a behavioral interview on Zoom. After that, there was a case study/behavioral interview with a "VP", followed by a technical interview with the Head of Product. The final interviews were with the CEO and then a presentation where I had to present a product to 4 people. I got to the end and they seemed impressed, saying they'd get back to me soon. A week went by, so I followed up and got a generic rejection with no feedback, even after asking.
- What is one plus one?
Software Engineer
We kicked things off with a tour of the facilities, and then we got some anti-zombie training. After that, it was time for some coding problems. The interviewers were pretty chill, but they got kinda weird when I asked about the zombie training.
- Do you have any survival experience?
Software Engineer
Interview was average. I expected a tough one, of course, but it was simple and all the questions asked were straightforward. You don't have to prepare so much for the interview. Just read basics and walk into the interview rooms.
