Behavioral Technical

So first there's like a typical phone screen interview, it's a 'tell me about' kind of thing with the recruiter. Then you have the hiring manager interview, and that goes really in-depth on your resume and the job description. Make sure you prepare to explain your work experience and how it aligns with the role.

The interviews themselves were professional and handled well. I liked the team members that I talked to and they all seemed like good folk. The only problems that I ran into were: 1) Uncertainty of what the next interview would entail - each time I set up an interview with HR, the "type" of interview was never mentioned. So I didn't know what to prepare for, being a cultural interview or technical. 2) At the end of the process I didn't receive a response. When I sent a follow up email, I was told that the team was being "deliberate" with their decision (this was a week and a half after the final interview). After more than 2 months of waiting, I think it's safe to say I didn't get the job... Even an email with no body/text/feedback, but has a subject line that says "No" would have been appreciated, really. It was discouraging to wait so long for a response that never came. I'm sure Ultra Mobile has valid reasons for not providing a response (either time or legal [or maybe they forgot about me?]) to candidates, so I can't really be mad at HR or anyone for following company policy. Anyway, I hope this helps future candidates. -Interview Process- 1st Interview: Interview with recruiter. Cultural and asking questions about experience. 2nd interview: Coding interview. FizzBuzz Question 3rd Interview: Coding Interview. FizzBuzz Question, revisited. Question about processing events and data structures. Optimizing the event handler to use less and less memory. 4th Interview: Cultural interview. Questions about my experience, who I am, hobbies, how I am keeping up with the latest technology, how I would describe a motivational leader, how I would define a “successful project”. 5th Interview Coding interview. Given a set, how would you traverse the set (much like a JSON object) and return a map of that set?
